An annual event that has been organised now for some forty years, it provides an outing for some 250 guests from nine or more homes around the island, and takes place in an eventshall, restaurant or other venue. In the past, it has even been supported supported by a major hotel providing lunch at a very special rate.

They are escorted from their homes by teams of Rotarians and/or spouses, while other members are involved in setting up the dining and entertainment area and welcoming and assisting the guests to be seated at their tables on arrival. Lunch is served by the Rotarian family, including Rotaractors. Professional live music and comedy is provided and the guests themselves participate in lively dance shows, songs and recitals. The day ends with everyone receiving a gift parcel of useful personal care items. For many of them, this is the highlight of the year.

The annual budget is about Rs250,000 and can only happen because the Club manages to find sufficient sponsorship, in cash or in kind….
