About Our club

Rotary Club of Port Louis, the first in Mauritius

The Rotary Club of Port Louis was the first Club to be set up in Mauritius, officially admitted to Rotary International in November 1964. The Club today has about 40 members. It is exceptional for its fellowship, mix of members’ profiles, involvement of spouses and partners in the Club’s activities – not to mention the achievements of its long-standing and recent projects.

BREAKFAST FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN

Collaboration between the Club, sponsors, parents and school staff has been instrumental in the success of this project (developed and led by two Club members’ spouses)

Lycee Polytechnique St Gabriel

This project led by the Catholic Diocese of Port Louis (Mauritius) has started in 2021. The Rotary Club of Port Louis is one of the sponsors.

ATELIER MO’ZAR / ESPACE ARTISTIQUE MO’ZAR

The Espace Artistique Mo’zar project was launched in the presence of Club members, the Lord Mayor and the founder of Atelier Mo’zar, the late José Thérèse.

In the footsteps of our predecessors, we are animated by true fellowship which enables us to undertake great projects to bring positive and lasting changes in the lives of our beneficiaries and in our own lives.
